!! new york !!

boots: ralph lauren, leggings: american apparel, shorts: topshop, jacket: ben sherman, bag: isabella fiore, beret: vintage
Last week I left mild-weathered Las Vegas and traveled 5 hours across the country to bitter cold New York City for FFANY. I had a great time with my co-workers and reps looking at great product and enjoying delicious dinners. The energy in New York is amazing and the powerful feeling I get just walking down the sidewalk can't be felt anywhere else. In New York, I feel like anything is possible. Some people will never know what it feels like to reach your dream, but the minute I touched down in New York City 2 years ago, was that time for me.

This visit was so surreal. It's a strange feeling to realize that the city is exactly the same, but that I am such a different person. I realized that everything I worked for up until FIT and all that has come since has lead me to this point and once again, it felt amazing.

Here were some of my favorite eats:
Fette Sau - Williamsburg, BK, NY
354 Metropolitan Ave
BLT Prime- 111 E 22nd St.
Between Park and Lexington
Cookshop- 156 10th Avenue at 20th St.

Brunch with Erika (and Ashley!) at B Bar- 40 E 4th St at Bowery
Billy's Bakery- 184 9th Avenue
between 21st and 22nd St.

There was fun to be had also:
Tattoo's from Pirate Mike at Iggy's Keltic Lounge
Beret: vintage, unknown scarf, jacket: juicy couture, t-shirt: theory
Scott, Jenn, and I at Vince Camuto with Zappos, the horse
cardigan: juicy couture, jumper: anthro, boots: steven
The girls at Joshua Tree- our favorite 80's bar in Murray Hill!
dress: theory
Caitlin and I enjoying delicious drinks, I can't remember the name, but I will find out!
t-shirt: american apparel, tunic: american apparel, jewelry: vintage
BRGR- 287 7th Ave at 26th St.
Try the blueberry-pomegranate milkshake!!
button up: theory, jacket; juicy couture, ring: juniper

Other favorites include:
The Back Room: 102 Norfolk Street
a speakeasy where you sip cocktails out of huge teacups!

Kaight- 83 Orchard St.
a great eco-friendly boutique. I scored a very cool hand felted necklace

Top Shop- 478 Broadway
trendy and hip- great shoe selection. I left with flowered, denim shorts

Basic Basic- 710 Broadway
One of my favorite stores in NYC. They have an amazing selection of casual, trendy, layering pieces
