Homecoming

Flew back to Purdue for Homecoming over the weekend. It was SO GOOD to see all of my guys and gals and to finally experience some beautiful fall weather. All of the leaves were beginning to change colors and fall to the ground. I went for a run Friday in Indy before I drove up to Purdue just to soak in the sun and cool fall air. I forgot how nice it feels to be in a 'real' neighborhood where all of the houses are unique and have beautifully landscaped lawns as opposed to Vegas where every house is stucco, no one has grass, and neighborhoods are gated like prisons. Not saying there aren't any beautiful neighborhoods around here (my roomie lives in one) but it's just not the same.

Purdue played Minnesota and not that I even watched a minute of the game, but we all showed our support and cried over the news that Robbie Hummel tore his ACL again and will be sitting out this basketball season (booooo was hoping to have ONE good team!). We did win the game though!

It's really amazing how much we mature in 2 years after college. Deej put a ring on Jordan, Marie's nephew joined the world over the weekend, Whitney and Vance came sharing the same last name, girls who never had boyfriends in college suddenly have serious boyfriends and us girls who always had boyfriends came solo, we all chatted about gross margin and job security and planned our next reunion. I think we all enjoyed the weekend pretending to be back in college until Monday when everyone had to call in sick.. hehe.
Graham and I freezing our heines off in the early am while drinking hot coco and schnapps to warm up
